Now in its third year with hundreds of alumni, Mekong Innovative Startups in Tourism (MIST) is jointly managed by the Mekong Tourism Coordinating Office and Mekong Business Initiative. MIST is supported by the Australian Government and Asian Development Bank.
MIST 2019 will be organized during 8–9 October 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. Day 1 (8 October) is invitation-only at the Pacific Asia Travel Association headquarters. Here, 10 MIST finalists will network with tourism industry leaders and refine their pitches with advice from program mentors. Day 2 (9 October) features the 2019 MIST Showcase at Quaint Bangkok Brasserie, where finalists pitch to prospective investors and participants share travel startup success stories. Day 2 is open to investors, MIST finalists and alumni, travel and tourism executives, government officials, academic institutions and the media.
